Classes will appear in Canvas no later than the 1st day of the semester. If you register for a class during add/drop period, you will have access to the Canvas course shell within 3 hours after registering.
No. The instructor will provide and post a syllabus in Canvas. The syllabus will define log-in day and time, class participation guidelines/policy, and assignment deadlines. Students are expected to log-in Canvas course shell the first day of the semester. Failure to log-in or participate in the course within the first week may result in the student being dropped for non-attendance by the instructor.
No. DE only students are not required to have health insurance nor are they required to waive out of health insurance plans. For additional information regarding Student Health, please contact Kimberly Dobson at kdobson@nccu.edu or 919-530-6317.
Yes, distance education students should attend NCCU Online: Orientation. There is no fee for the live virtual orientation session. The orientation is designed to assist new students as they acclimate to NCCU systems and processes. If you have questions please email kwill331@nccu.edu for assistance. Please note that distance education students are not required to attend/pay for the on-campus SOAR Orientation.
No. Students are urged to keep constant check on their MyEOL accounts. Holds should be resolved prior to registration.
