About submitting your transcripts
Transcripts are an important part of the admissions process and are required for consideration into any NCCU online programs.
All official high school transcripts are due no later than July 1 for fall enrollment and one month before the first day of class for spring and summer enrollment. All college transfer transcripts are due one month before the first day of class for spring and summer enrollment. All first-year and transfer students completing AP/IB exams should have their test scores sent directly to the Undergraduate Admissions Office. We do not accept scores indicated on college transcripts. For more information regarding AP/IB exams and credit granted at NCCU, please refer to the Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate Exams table.
Transcripts from Closed Schools
How do I obtain a copy of my transcript from a college that is closed?
When schools close, the generally accepted practice is for the school to make arrangements with the state-licensing agency to store their records. If you are trying to locate your academic records from a closed school, you should contact the state licensing agency in the state in which the school was located to ask whether the state made arrangements to store the records. Information about financial aid and closed schools is also available.
High School Seniors
Final acceptance to NCCU is contingent upon your maintaining a level of academic performance equal to or better than your high school record so far. Declining performance during your senior year could jeopardize your admission offer. If you feel as though you will not satisfy NCCU requirements, you will need to make plans to attend summer school at your high school to satisfy any deficiencies. Submit your final transcript immediately after graduation. Failure to do so may delay your registration and enrollment.
Second-Degree and Transfer Students
Final acceptance to NCCU is contingent upon satisfactory completion of all work at your prior or current institution. Submit your transcript immediately upon completion of your last semester of enrollment. Failure to do so may delay your registration and enrollment.
International Students
- Anyone who has completed his or her education outside of the United States is considered an international applicant irrespective of citizenship or residency. If you will require an F-1 visa to study in the United States, then you are considered an international student for tuition purposes and an international applicant. For additional requirements and information, please visit https://www.nccu.edu/admissions/international-students
- Students who have attended a high school, college or university outside of the U.S. must submit an official course-by-course evaluation of all courses via one of the following services accredited by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services: NCCU recommends using the current members of NACES listed at NACES | Credentials Evaluations Provided by NACES Members for the evaluation.
