The requirements for admission to NCCU include the following:

        1. Satisfactory 2.5 cumulative weighted grade point average.
        2. Standardized test scores: Students with a weighted high school GPA greater than or equal to 2.50 and less than 2.80 are required to submit a standardized test score (ACT or SAT). Students must earn an ACT score of 17 or higher, or a SAT score of 930 or higher.
        3. All students must satisfy the University of North Carolina (UNC) minimum admissions requirements to be eligible for admission.
        4. A complete record from an accredited secondary or preparatory school, with graduation based on UNC minimum undergraduate course requirements:
        5. In English, four-course units emphasize grammar, composition and literature.
        6. In mathematics, four-course units including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry and fourth math higher than Algebra II; or Algebra I, Algebra II and two-course units higher than Algebra II (Advanced Functions and Modeling, Discrete Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, Integrated Mathematics IV, AP Statistics, Essential for College Math, AP Calculus A/B or AP Calculus B/C).
        7. In science, three-course units, including at least one lab science.
        8. In social studies, two-course units, including at least one in U.S. history.
        9. Two additional academic courses from English, mathematics, science, social studies, world languages, or computer science. (Note: these courses should be selected in alignment with a student’s academic and career objectives. Completion of two sequential world language courses is recommended.)
