The undergraduate Nutrition and Dietetics B.S. degree at NCCU is a 100% online program with full accreditation through the Accreditation Council for Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). All courses will deliver live instruction by nutrition faculty. Students completing the didactic program in dietetics (DPD) are eligible to earn a verification statement which qualifies students to apply to dietetic internship programs and other graduate programs.

The undergraduate Nutrition and Dietetics B.S. degree at NCCU is a 100% online program with full accreditation through the Accreditation Council for Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Courses are delivered via live or asynchronous instruction by nutrition faculty. Students completing the didactic program in dietetics (DPD) are eligible to earn a verification statement which qualifies them to apply to dietetic internship programs and other graduate programs.

Students must meet minimum eligibility requirements for admission to North Carolina Central University and the UNC School System. Once admitted, students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, earn a “C” or better in all math, science, foods and nutrition courses and attempt no more than 168 credit hours. To earn a verification statement, students must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, satisfactorily complete all program competencies, and pass a comprehensive exam with an 80%. First-degree seeking students must complete a minimum of 120 credit hours.
Students who already hold a bachelor’s degree may be admitted as a second-degree/nontraditional student. Students have an opportunity to earn a Verification Statement and a second degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Each student will be audited by the program director.
